 Chosen Heart Doula Services was birthed in 2023 because I have ALWAYS had a passion for and been interested in helping women bring life into the world, the miracle of life and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE being pregnant and  babies! I have supported a lot of my family members through pregnancy to postpartum by washing baby clothes and putting them up, creating to do list to prepare for baby, comfort, support, and advocacy during labor, and coming over after baby was born to let mom take a shower, a nap, or just be a listening ear. So as one of my family members said, "You were my doula before I knew what a doula was". 

 At first I wanted to be a OBGYN doctor, but I didn't want to go to school that long and I wanted to be able to be with the mom's longer and give more hands-on support so I decided to be a nurse. Once my dream came true and I became a labor and delivery nurse, I realized I wanted to provide more one on one support during labor and delivery, so I found a great 16 week birth doula program through Gifted Hands International, and became a birth doula. Then I went back and completed the 16 week postpartum doula program and 3 week placenta encapsulation program. In addition to being a nurse, my extensive doula training, I am also a wife and mother of 7 (given birth 6 times) so I understand what woman go through and the support needed during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum. 

Our company is here to do our part in helping women bring babies into the world supported, safe, educated, and empowered. I believe all women deserve to be listened to and advocated for through their journey from pregnancy through postpartum.  If we are a good match, I look forward to helping you on your journey into motherhood as well!!
